Those numbers describe a long book. The Kindle edition of Bonds at War: The Virgin Is Mine runs 811 pages, and it's only book one of Sand Kastle's War Series. Goodreads already lists the next one, Hearts at War. If you're about to start, you're signing up for a long stay.
We don't host it on NanoReads. It's published on Dreame (rated 18+, still listed as ongoing there) and on Kindle. What follows is checked against those listings and Goodreads.
One thing first, since this title sometimes gets filed next to mafia romance: it isn't a mafia romance. "War" and "The Virgin Is Mine" sound like a crime-family book, but this is werewolves, packs and an academy. If you did come for mafia, the dark mafia romance hub is where those live.
What it actually is
Arden Stone is a virgin, and her mate is Jaxon Trevane, Alpha of the West. Then she finds out he's been sleeping with her best friend, Sienna Graves. The story is set around the Elite Order Academy, and the four Alphas who rule North, South, East and West are all part of it.
The book's own descriptions sort those four men into types: a heartbroken former mate, a strategist, a dangerous playboy, and a possessive one nobody can read. Jaxon is clearly the first. The listings don't line the other three up with a direction, so we won't either.
Dreame tags it Alpha, second chance, rejected, campus, pack, kickass heroine and seductive. Put together, that's a rejected-mate story set at a school, with the title's possessive claim aimed at a heroine who has every reason to say no.

Quick answers
Can I read it for free?
It's on Dreame, where serials usually open the early chapters free and charge for later ones, and on Kindle. We don't host it, so check the current terms there. Every book on the shelf above starts free on NanoReads.
Who wrote it?
Sand Kastle. The Kindle edition (September 28, 2025) is listed as The War Series Book 1, and Goodreads shows Hearts at War next.
Is it reverse harem?
We can't confirm that. Four ruling Alphas are central and the setup points that way, but the Dreame tags we saw don't say reverse harem or why choose, and we haven't read the ending.
Is it a mafia romance?
No. Despite the title, it's a werewolf academy romance about packs, mates and four Alphas. There are no mafia families in the listings.
