A Journey Through Shadows
From occult shadows to spiritual light: A seer's twelve-year battle for deliverance and redemption
by CHRISTINA Hurtgen
Christina was known as 'Serenity' under the neon lights of the club, but her real life was a battlefield of shadows. For thirty years, she walked the path of a Wiccan, unaware that her sensitivity as a seer made her a prime target for the very forces she tried to command. A Journey Through Shadows is the raw, unfiltered account of a woman who lived at the intersection of two worlds. While battling a harrowing fentanyl addiction and the exploitative cycle of the sex trade, Christina was simultaneously engaged in a high-stakes spiritual war. As an empath and seer, she experienced terrifying remote-viewing journeys into the dimensions of Hell, facing sirens, vampires, and fallen angels head-on. But at age forty-one, the darkness met its match. This is the story of a radical transformation—from the grip of demonic possession and addiction to the liberating power of the Holy Spirit. With razor-sharp wit and unflinching honesty, Christina chronicles her deliverance and her transition into a powerful ministry of intercession. More than just a memoir, this book is a manual for the modern believer. It reveals the reality of the spiritual realms overlapping our own and proves that no soul is ever too far gone for God's reach. Discover the authority you carry in Christ and learn how to turn your darkest trials into weapons of light.

The Girl Who Saw Through Walls
Introduction
Hello readers, before we get into my story—because of how dark and supernatural it is—I’m going to say a
prayer for all of you readers out there. Heavenly Father, I just pray for protection for the readers from listening to or reading this document, and I pray that nothing in here will manifest in the name of Jesus. I ask that no demons will enter them, or the surrounding area, or the atmosphere.
No evil will conquer; no plagues will come near their dwelling. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the rulers of darkness of this world. God gives us authority to trample on scorpions and all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall harm us. God, Yahuah, keep us safe as we dive into this story of mine. In the name of Yeshua, Amen.
In a world often shadowed by unseen forces, the journey of faith and spiritual warfare can be as intense and complex as any physical battle—sort of like trying to assemble IKEA furniture without the instructions. This documentary chronicles the deeply personal and harrowing experience of Christina, who endured twelve years of relentless spiritual torment, including demonic a few accounts of spiritual demonic abuse and torment, oppression, and addiction. (Talk about a spiritual reality show!) Her story is not just one of suffering, but also of remarkable resilience, transformation, and redemption through unwavering faith.
Through vivid accounts of her encounters with demonic spirits such as
Asmodeus—the prince of lust (who clearly didn’t get the memo about personal space)—and other dark entities, Christina offers profound insights into the nature of spiritual battles and the power of divine intervention. Alongside her struggles, she uncovers extraordinary spiritual gifts, including clairvoyance, empathic abilities, and discernment, which help her navigate the wild, wild world of both the earthly and spiritual realms—because who wouldn’t want a special set of binoculars for that? This narrative goes beyond personal testimony; it dives into theological perspectives on deliverance ministry, examines the often bizarre realities of demonic influence, and highlights the redemptive power of prayer, faith, and inner healing—like a spiritual first aid kit.
Join Christina as she bares her soul, sharing a transformative journey that inspires hope, courage, and a renewed sense of purpose for all who face their own battles in the shadows. (And trust me, you’re not alone in this whimsical, yet often spooky ride!)
In shadows deep, where nightmares swell, Asmodeus whispers, weaving a spell. A husband, a tormentor, cloaked in disguise, in this waltz with darkness, I barely survive. With each haunting hour, my spirit lays bare, a child’s heart quivers, caught in despair. Yet through the torment, a flicker remains; a twisted guide’s kindness mingles with pain. Christianity falters, a mask worn too thin, in realms where deceptions begin to spin. Still, I wrestle with hate’s bitter trace; in a dance with this demon, I search for my place. 12 long
years, a relentless abyss, yet in the chaos, I find glimpses of bliss. Though fear is my shadow, my heart holds light; in the grip of a nightmare, I rise and fight.
**: A Journey Through Shadows**
My life has been a tapestry woven with threads of supernatural encounters, spiritual exploration, and the indelible marks of both love and trauma. From the age of 13 to 30, I found myself pulled into the world of Wicca, the occult, and Reiki energy healing—after all, who doesn't need a little magic when life gets messy? This fascination stemmed from what I perceived to be a divine calling. After losing my beloved grandmother Sandy to cancer when I was 16, I promised to seek her out beyond the veil. My journey into spirit communication began as I explored ghost hunting, acting as a medium for friends hoping to connect with their dearly departed, whom I thought were just quirky earthbound spirits.Little did I know, those encounters were not what they seemed; I
later learned they were, in fact, demonic spirits putting on a masterclass in deception.
My search for Grandma became a quest fraught with revelations and dangers that could give any horror movie a run for its money.Ghost hunting soon morphed into a thrilling pursuit; I roamed haunted locations with my trusty EVP recorder and dabbled in spirit photography, hoping to capture something more than just dust motes. The Ouija board transformed into my gateway for contacting spirits, leading to countless sessions with friends, hearts racing as our fingers danced atop the planchette. I even crafted my own Ouija board—perfectly imperfect—and felt the eerie thrill of communicating with something beyond the grave and this time, not just my overdue library books. At 16, the loss of my grandmother left me
reeling. She had been my anchor, the one who comforted me when my own home life resembled a never-ending soap opera.
My mother, Pam, battled bipolar disorder, often oscillating between extreme highs and heartbreaking lows, with her struggles with addiction only adding more plot twists to our family saga. Her fits of rage turned our environment into an unpredictable rollercoaster ride that I wasn’t sure I had signed up for. My stepfather, James, shared in this chaotic narrative, perpetuating the pattern of substance abuse that was as predictable as a daytime drama.I remember those nights, locked in my room, listening to their arguments—their love tangled with addiction, control, and emotional manipulation.
The pain of witnessing such chaos was magnified by my longing for stability and
affection from my beloved “Mom Number Two,” my grandmother. As I witnessed their struggles, the desire to protect my family felt like a heavy backpack loaded with bricks, leaving me both anxious and confused.By my teenage years, I spiraled into the party scene, experimenting with substances alongside my mother—because why not make family bonding a little more interesting? The high of ecstasy and the rush of wild nights overshadowed the chaos at home and, ironically, paved the way for more challenges ahead. I became a party girl, thriving in the haze of dance and music as I sought refuge from the overwhelming turbulence of family life. The turning point came at 29 when I found myself living in a charming duplex in Eagan, MN, which quickly morphed into a party hub unfit for my children—imagine a toddler running through a scene from "Animal House."
My embrace of the occult deepened; I engaged in rituals and experiments that opened my third eye like it was an exclusive club but ultimately exposed me to dark forces, leading to a decade-long battle with spiritual warfare and torment that could rival any action movie. The haunting began during my Eagan years, forces clawing at my consciousness and forcing me to confront fears buried deep in my childhood—like a particularly unpleasant version of a game show challenge. I often felt like a frightened child, clutching my comfort blanket and a teddy bear as shields against nightmares that invaded my nights, transforming these objects from mere comforts into symbols of my trauma.Reflecting on my life, I realize these experiences were not isolated incidents.
My childhood bristled with encounters of the supernatural—from being possessed at a friend’s house when I was six to a creepy run-in with a mimic spirit that decided to impersonate my best friend during a sleepover. Each event etched deeper scars on my psyche, reinforcing the unsettling notion that I was eternally pursued by something malevolent—like the worst episode of "Ghost Hunters" you could imagine. In my quest to connect with the spirit realm, I gleefully purchased a Ouija board at 13, despite my father’s fears—what’s a little parental concern compared to potential ghostly chats? It ignited a series of bewildering events, setting me on a path filled with both spiritual light and darkness. One night, a fire broke out in my room, heralded by an overwhelming sense of evil that, at the time, I thought was just the latest family drama.
My attempts to find solace in spirituality and community were thwarted by a malevolent presence that would eventually gain hold of me when I hit 30.As I navigated the chaotic waters of relationships, I submerged myself in drugs and parties, discovering my sensitivity to energies in between the fog of hazy fun. In the drug-fueled haze, shadows flickered around me, and spectral energies brushed against my skin—leading me to moments of bewildering encounters that I ironically mistook for connections with my grandmother.
Even in the cozy haven of my Eagan home, visions emerged as lively spirits flowed from my cherished dolls, transforming my room into something straight out of a quirky fantasy movie. Remarkable moments of light and energy danced around me, embodying both enchantment
and terror that were signature staples throughout my journey. The journey has been treacherous yet transformative—marked by profound losses, the embrace of darkness, and intermittent glimpses of light. I have grappled with demons, both internal and external. Now, as I stand here, a single mother seeking healing and understanding, I am determined to reclaim my narrative, find the balance between light and shadow, and emerge from this wild ride stronger than ever before..
I was doing drug's my whole life, until the age of 41 .. I focus my attention on things that are pure, lovely, and of good report, just like the Bible says, and I focus my attention on heaven. My goal is to get to heaven and live eternally with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Looking back on the start of this nightmare, After I became a Christian, my life took a weird turn when
The nightmare and torment first started. It was like the worst party crash ever; they attacked me and began entering through my mouth, nose, and my private area, courtesy of an incubus husband spirit—that’s a fancy term for a sexual demon.
That happened at age 30, right after I had chosen to give the Christian lifestyle a whirl. Let me tell you, being a believer in Christ is not just slapping a label on yourself; it’s not like getting a VIP pass to Heaven just because you say “Jesus.” It's all about that personal relationship, the kind where you dedicate your life and surrender everything to God, along with a hearty dose of repentance. But good luck trying to do it solo—God has to grant you that gift of repentance and, preferably, a solid guide to navigate it. You need the Holy Spirit in your corner; that’s your ultimate GPS. The Word says, “my sheep know my voice,” which translates to “listen
up, folks!” Being a Christian is not just a belief; think of it as a complete lifestyle overhaul. I dedicate time to God two times a day—once when I wake up and again... well, I’m going to be honest, probably when I sneak off from adulating responsibilities. In the morning, I read, pray continuously, and engage in what some might call “prayer multitasking.”
I pray before meals, I pray before bed, and I even send out an “SOS” for forgiveness of my sins. My morning routine sounds a touch dramatic, but warfare prayers are essential. Each day, I spend a little time with the Bible according to the date; today it’s the 15th, so I read Psalms 15 and Proverbs 15—yes, I can count, thank you very much! Once I’m done, I dive into the rest of my day. Later on, around 7:00 p.m., it's me-and-God time again. It’s mystical; that’s when God speaks to me, and He
begins transforming me into a version of myself that doesn't swear like a sailor. Gone are the days of my horror film obsession. I used to eat that stuff up, but I realized horror movies just give you a front-row seat to what Hell is like—it’s like a free sample of demonic despair.
And let me tell you, Hellraiser is not just a movie; I mean, that dimension is real! If you've ever watched horror movies and wondered what hell truly is, imagine a realm filled with the stench of burning sulfur and endless torment—a place where evil relentlessly surrounds you, clawing at your skin and screaming in your ears, in ways that make your teeth chatter. In this chilling existence, authentic horror and evil saturates the atmosphere, creating a suffocating weight in your stomach and overwhelming you with paralyzing dread, much akin to the unsettling ambiance in
films such as "The Exorcist," where malevolent forces invade the sanctity of home and mind, turning familiar spaces into arenas of spiritual warfare.
This chilling reality is one that remains incomprehensible until faced personally, as the boundary between sanity and madness blurs with every chilling whisper and unearthly shriek that echoes through the long narrow hallways, much like a maze—it's extremely eerie and extremely horrifying. In hell, you are brutally severed from the divine, stripped of the essential comforts of peace, love, joy, and the virtues that underpin human existence. Your free will diminishes, reducing you to a mere pawn in the hands of wicked forces that trap you in a relentless cycle of suffering—a true commodity to be exploited by the sadistic inhabitants of this dread-filled abyss. Have you ever seen
"Hellraiser?"
This film profoundly illustrates the manifold horrors of hell, with each dimension echoing terrifying truths about despair and anguish, ensnaring souls in an intricate web of torment that resonates deeply with our innate fears. Likewise, "Stranger Things" presents an upside-down world—a parallel universe where joy is devoured, and innocence is corrupted—one of many dark realms brimming with suffering, wherein characters are engulfed by an alternate reality that symbolizes profound loss, longing, and unwavering fear, mirroring the eternal struggle for hope in the face of insurmountable darkness.
Visualize a pit teeming with fallen angels, their once-angelic forms distorted by malevolence monsters ,same as the ones watched on TV. They become very real
Chucky,Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and other grotesque monsters. shrouded in a sinister red glow that bathes the surroundings in a feverish haze, patiently awaiting the doomed. The stifling atmosphere and intense heat constrict your breath, while the oppressive absence of water leaves you parched and desperate, reminiscent of the unbearable conditions in "Saw," where the struggle for survival twists into a nightmarish game and hope is perpetually elusive. You find yourself confined in cramped, filthy cells meticulously designed for torture, each more grotesque than the last, where the walls seem to absorb the screams of former prisoners.
Within these cold, shadowy confines, you endure unfathomable horrors—a ceaseless assault on your senses, a never-ending crescendo of anguish that reverberates
through your very being.Imagine the brutality faced by those trapped here, their bodies torn apart and mutilated like fish, echoing the gruesome fates depicted in "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre," where violence and despair are woven into the fabric of existence itself. The scent of blood, sweat, and despair becomes a suffocating miasma that clings to your skin, reminding you that hope is a cruel illusion in this realm. These horrific experiences in hell distort the most terrifying scenes from horror films, yet the actual pain you endure is far more intense and utterly beyond comprehension, an endless loop of suffering from which there is no escape.
This is not mere fiction; it is a terrifying reality that lurks within the darkest corners of your imagination—a visceral reminder of what lies beyond the veil of our everyday existence, waiting patiently for the
moment when you might succumb to the very darkness you once dismissed as fantasy. The devil had my tongue glued to the roof of my mouth like I had just swallowed bubble gum—bound up, just like Ezekiel. One time, I was so twisted in my mind that I thought I had a bomb inside me. It was like a bizarre field trip where I exited my own body, and we soared all the way up to heaven. Jesus showed up, accompanied by the Holy Spirit, to fight off the enemy on my behalf. Meanwhile, the enemy was cranking up the tension with every dimension of Hell imaginable, and I could literally hear the sound of Hellraiser creeping closer. It felt like a horror movie I couldn't escape from. God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus were fighting for me while I was preoccupied, trying to hold my life together during relentless demonic assaults.
I realized I’d missed my chance to truly
see Jesus because I was too busy feeling like a human clock, ticking away under spiritual bondage. I know how insane this sounds, and trust me, it’s hard to share my story with anyone; I mean, how do you casually drop “spiritual war” over coffee? I am the first in my family to come through to the other side, born again and saved, and man, I’m praying for my family’s salvation and sobriety—because let’s face it, they all dabble in drugs except my kids. My trio of kids? They’ve managed to be drug-free and are doing surprisingly well given that I was a wild card—an outcast party girl, just like my mother, brother, and sister. But thanks to my leap of faith in Christ, I broke some generational curses, and now I walk in the forgiveness of sins with God as my ultimate healer. I barely visit doctors anymore—I mean, who wants to deal with that medical circus?
Sometimes it's a necessary evil, but honestly, the overload of medications I once received was ridiculous. When I went to the psych ward, they practically handed me the pharmacy! I’m like, “Hey, I just wanted a check-up, not a subscription to a medication buffet!” Now, when something feels off, I rely on my spiritual instincts. I see and hear things that most people miss, and I've been granted secret knowledge of the mechanics of the spiritual realm—everything from sickness to illness is rooted in the spirit. All that scientific mumbo jumbo? It’s just hot air. God and the enemy have shown me the origin of everything. God is my Healer, not those doctors; Jehovah Rapha!I’m finally sober for the first time, but here’s the kicker: when I went through that phase of torment, God delivered me from drugs—heroin, meth, the whole deal. I was sober for five years, but do I remember it?
Not really, thanks to those pesky demonic assaults. This time, I can confidently say I’m getting sober, and God is blessing my journey. I join NAA meetings and support groups, but let’s keep it straight—I don’t label myself as an addict. Words carry weight; claiming you’re an addict is like inviting that spirit to stick around for tea and biscuits—no thanks! Treatment centers miss the mark because they ignore the spiritual aspect. Our addiction isn’t a disease; it’s more like an uninvited demon crashing our party.
Temptation? Yep, that sneaky devil is here to tempt us, kill, steal, destroy, and throw a massive tantrum. But here’s the good news: I have the Holy Spirit living in me, and that’s my ticket to heaven! The biggest deception? The medical field—I mean, you want to talk marketing scams? We need to
be mindful of our words because we have the power to speak life and death. God has given us authority over scorpions and all the power of the enemy—so basically, we can take charge! Be cautious about what you confess because if you’re parading around claiming to be an addict, guess what? You’re likely to stay one. Don’t own what you’re not bound to.
I didn’t own the label of an addict, and I kicked those drugs to the curb in the name of Jesus. Come out of agreement with those strongholds—those are just lies the enemy whispers in your ears. If you're not reading the Bible, well, let me tell you, you’re in for a rough ride. You’ve got to know the Word and dedicate time to God every single day, repent of your sins, and strive to live out biblical teachings. Remember, the Bible says, "my people perish for lack of knowledge," so ignorance won’t get you very far. The Word is food for
the soul, just like a great burger feeds your stomach. Seriously, God’s Word contains answers to your every problem, so dive in! Everything you need to know is in there, waiting for you.
I’m thankful for every good thing that comes from God, for every good thing comes from above. So thanks be to God that I made it through, and He delivered me and set me free, and He is close to me. Because of how close the enemy is to me, He is really close to the brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit, like me. My Holy Spirit is female; I’ve seen her, and I’ve also seen under the dome and into another portal that God opened up and showed me. God shows me supernatural things, and I’m very thankful to God for that; they are good experiences. So I am not really traumatized. I do have a slight avoidance with horror movies and death and stuff
that’s scary because of what I went through; that’s the only part of PTSD that I have is avoidance, but I’m not bothered because it’s out of sight, out of mind. I am strong because God made me strong.
